Supported Skill Building
Do you wish you could get your kids up and ready for school without constant reminders and raising your voice? Do you long for a deeper connection with your spouse, but not know where to start? Are you exhausted and just need permission to take care of yourself so that you have the energy to do the things you need to do?
Then maybe coaching is a good fit for you. Whether you just need some insights and suggestions for your daily routine, or you feel stuck in your prayer life, or want to talk through what to tackle first as you implement new skills within your most significant relationships, I can offer a supportive presence to listen and discern and collaborate with you as you embrace a healthy, faithful relational life.
I have learned many skills, frameworks, and ideas during my 11 years with North Georgia Family Counseling Centers. I use these skills every day. They enhance my confidence as a parent, and strengthen my connection as a marriage-partner. The skills and frameworks we teach at Faithful Family Life work for me. Through a coaching relationship, I want to share these skills with you to help you manage the normal ups and downs of life and experience joy and deep connection through the significant relationships in your life.
I work with individuals and groups interested in intentional reflection and skill building. Together we will celebrate the strengths you bring to your relationships, identify the places where you want to deepen your relational connections, and introduce skills and practices to help you achieve your goals.
I have received training in the following approaches and methods and will draw upon this training as needed during coaching sessions:
- Parenting the Love & Logic Way
- Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun
- Parenting from the Inside Out (Dr. Dan Siegel)
- Gottman’s Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work
- Level 1 and Level 2 Certification for Gottman Method Couples Therapy
- Circle of Security Parenting
I also work with faith formation leaders who want to be intentional about building an education program where families learn skills in advance of difficulty and crisis. Together we can dream and plan for implementation of programs in your setting designed to transform family life so couples are happier, children are thriving, families are more deeply connected, and your organization is a healthy place in which to serve.
